Well-Proven Technology for Industrial Applications
CO2 lasers are gas lasers based on an electrically stimulated carbon dioxide gas mixture. It has a wavelength of 10600 nm. Due to its wavelength absorption characteristics it is suitable to work commonly in non-metallic materials and most plastic types. CO2 lasers have relatively high efficiency and good beam quality. For this reason it is one of the most widely used laser type.
Carbon dioxide lasers are used for marking, engraving and even cutting operations in wood, acrylic, glass, paper, cardboard, textiles, polymers, foils and films, leather and stone materials, whether they are coated or painted.
Laseral Industrial Laser Systems offers two different CO2 laser systems.
2D CO2 Lasers
2D CO2 lasers are used for the marking, engraving or cutting of materials while working in relatively small areas. The working area can be changed by changing the lenses.
3D CO2 Lasers
3D CO2 lasers are used for marking, engraving or cutting applications in larger areas. These lasers, which can change the working area without the need of changing lenses within the 1500x1500mm working area, are generally used for processing large materials.
