Cutting of metal or non-metal materials
CO2 lasers are gas lasers based on an electrically stimulated carbon dioxide gas mixture. It has a wavelength of 10600 nm. Because of its wavelength absorption characteristics it is suitable to work predominantly in non-metallic materials and most plastic types. In addition to this, after some modifications made to CO2 systems, it may become possible to operate on metal.

Cutting systems for non-metallic materials
Carbon dioxide lasers are used in cutting processes, such as wood, acrylic, glass, paper, cardboard, textiles, leather, polymers, foils and films whether they are coated or painted materials.

Fixed optics are driven by a motorized axis controllers in cartesian system are commonly used with glass tube resonator, and in the case of motion transmission elements, screwed shaft or trigger belts are usually available. Laseral offers such machines with working area of 1000 X 1500 mm and above.

3D galvo head systems can also be used in this category as they can quickly complete two dimensional cutting operations when they have a high power laser. Their machining areas vary between 300 X 300 mm and 1500 X 1500 mm, which can be expanded with conveyor and axial movements if necessary.

Cutting systems for metal materials
The use of special cutting heads with pressurized gas and air blowers can also be used to cut thin sheet metals, which are normally used for cutting non-metallic materials, such as glass tube lasers with travelling optic. Laseral is also able to produce such machines with working areas of 1000 X 1500 mm and above.
